Our clinic offers two kinds of appointment:
(1) the usual in-person visit to our clinic - temporarily unavailable due to COVID-19
(2) an at-home consultation by video

A video appointment
What it is
A video (at-home) appointment is internet-based, similar to Skype or Facetime but uses a secure connection. You will be seeing and speaking with one of our clinic's nurses or doctors. We have partnered with a local pharmacist who will administer any vaccines you might need during this time when our clinic is closed. We can fax prescriptions there or to your preferred pharmacy.
Fees
You will see these on this website ("Fees") and on the booking page. You can exit that page at any time and you can cancel your booked appointment without charge. Payment is made at the end of the consultation by credit card. Fees for video appointments are somewhat higher than in-person due to higher costs for us.
Preparation
Please have all immunization records on hand and available. If you have children travelling with you, please weigh them and have the weights available at the time of our conversation.
The folks providing our video platform will take you through a 5-10 minute set up process worth the bother to ensure a good audio and visual connection. They will also ask for a password - a necessary nuisance. We are launching this service in March of 2019 and would appreciate feedback here.
What we discuss
During the consultation we commonly discuss vaccines needed, anti-malarial medications if needed, food and water precautions, treatment of diarrhea, dengue fever, Zika, altitude sickness (Peru, Nepal and Mount Kilimanjaro), seasickness (cruises, Galapagos), animal and insect bites and more.
A major topic of our discussion is now about coronavirus and travel.
